Reactions and perceptions are a big part of our life. In the work that I do many people say God does not listen to me. Nothing ever goes my way and they believe it. Yet each morning when they wake up they are making their reality into what they wish it to be. Breaking out of that reality is not always an easy thing to do. I know that I have had my life shaped by others beliefs many times.It is because they are so persistent to have others join them in their misery instead of laughing enjoying life and having fun.
Yet why should I be in the same mood as others. Belief is a powerful tool and so many things try to shape our reality and beliefs. You watch the news and you perceive the world as a harsh place that is going bankrupt and many other negative things. Yet if we perceive ourselves as able to cope and deal with our problems and think outside of the box. We will not have those attitudes.You could also watch the news and say I have a great life and thank God even if you do not know who is helping you intellectually.
I have always enjoyed traveling but every thing seemed to happen where I saw the US and parts of Mexico or Canada. I never thought about planning for travel out of the country. Yet I always prayed that I would find a way to do my work and enjoy myself. I was amazed when I became well known enough to have people pay for me to travel to help them. I did a good job, made many friends and my perceptions changed. I would have laughed at anyone who told me I would be going to all of the places I have gone to doing my work.
All of us shape our reality by our perceptions and choices. Anyone can do anything by persistence and belief. You can bring sunshine into someones life with smiling at them. You can light up your world by helping others with the little things in life. A compliment about a dress, helping with groceries, or any other way you can help another.
Reality shapes with the energies that we put into it. I do not understand why people curse others as who would want that energy back. People who nonstop complain always find something to complain about or they are lost. So spirituality is also about just being thankful at times. Happiness is a state of mind and it does not mean that life has to be perfect. It just means that we are happy to be alive and know that by endurance and persistence we will have more things to be happy about in our lives.

Initiations can be dangerous
I thought I would talk about initiations and how they can be dangerous. I did a case history recently on being sure you want to dedicate yourself to the path you are initiated into as this is very important in magic.
The main reason for this is that any group that is a ceremonial group called a mystery school has what is called an eggregore. Eggregores are an artifical being that is compiled of a physical link to the group which can be the same for generations of magicians. It depends on how long the lineage of the group is, what forces the eggregore is aligned too, and how it was done.
The person may be willing to dedicate themselves to a certain path of high magic. Yet if the leaders are lazy and do not get the right message they accept people that are wrong for the group. The eggregore rebels and then the person who is initiated is not right. It causes problems with balance for the person as most of these groups now use the lesser ranks as batteries. It can cause health problems and other multiple problems.
The person being used as a battery means that the energies of the person are balanced for the group usage and some people are not suited to the balance. It unbalances their basic nature and is not for them and any person that cares about their initiates should be careful about this one.
Another thing is to check the person for certain problems which would prevent them from being balanced. Chemical and hormonal problems will also cause a lack of balance. It can make it so the initiation does the person permanent harm.
Earth magic and Wicca are less intrusive but also have initiation levels that the person has to be ready to accept. The group eggregores there are constructed of the individuals guardian spirits and they normally are aligned in the same way. It is not a battery situation where the person is forced into the proper balance for the group.
Yet again there are problems with this also. A person with a mental illness, or chemical imbalances will also be affected by the energies. They will be in misery if they are not capable of matching with their guardian spirits and will find themselves lost all of the time.
All of these conditions have to be thought of by a caring teacher. Grounding and centering should be emphasized so this does not happen to anyone in any type of group. Many teachers never believe this is important yet if you can not function below on this earth and can only be a star in the higher levels it makes for a person who will drive themselves out of reality.
Shielding and knowing how to filter energies where you identify who sent them, what their vibration is, and if it is harmonius is also important. All of these are basics that get neglected. Be sure you are not the victim of lack of understanding of the basics of energy work.

Reality-What is it?
Reality is defined by everyone in their lives. It is the bills having to be paid and the stuff of life. Cars do not run with out gas and maintenance. People need certain things in their life to exist such as food, warmth, and shelter. Even if it is only a tent it is better than freezing or being wet.
Yet is reality warped by how things are phrased? Do some people ignore reality because they feel focusing on what they want is more important. I have seen people want something and say even with it being a $50.00 item someone is selling for $2.00 it is not stolen. I was taught by a person who did bad things to other people that being greedy about what you want is a way to be ripped off. If people were not greedy then they would say this is to good to be true and not fall for the scam or buying something that is stolen.
Anyone can ask who does this hurt. Someone else will buy the stolen item. It may work where the person can make a profit. Yet a great deal of the things wrong in this world is because of people feeling they can spin doctor words and reality.
If you do something that is wrong then something will happen to you sooner or later. Not because it is something anyone else does. It will happen because people who have choices create reactions with their choices. Treat enough people badly and you will find that you will be treated badly. Hurt people and sooner or later you will be hurt by someone who is meaner and stronger than you are. It is the way life works to teach us the lessons and ways to exist as a good person.
I truly feel the world is crippling for those people who are unbalanced in one way or another. In Hermetics Magic balance is everything. If you do not have balance then the energies will not work, and you can not ground. The more unbalanced you are the further you are from being a real person which is the only way to advance along the path to God.
The mental makeup of many people can cause them to be victims of magic as they have the world work perfectly for them on the other planes. They have the abilities but they do not have the balance or grounding in this life and this world to function here.
Reality is living in truth and you have to know what truth is to live it. You can not rationalize nor expect to be validated by others. You have to like yourself, and try to do the right choices. Many people are not capable of this and our world sure proves it.
The people who are cruel to others because they are not what they want them to be. Treat others badly because of their race, weight, sexual orientation, or other reasons. All of these people are living in the realm of judgement. They ignore the fact that they can be judged harshly by others also.
Truth is trying to be the best person you can be and to love and esteem yourself in this life. It is very difficult to do because everyone can always find something wrong with themselves. Yet the balance, and truth bring about a joy in life that can not be rivaled by the realities that are the constructs and lies of others.
It is the spark of the divine breaking loose and making this world a better place.
